After a grueling run-up to the election held last month your
current slate of officers were reelected by only 1 vote.
Actually it was the 1 vote that was directed to be
cast by a motion made at the meeting.
So you have us for one more year.

next to McCall’s Restaurant.
There are Club Jackets available through
Audrey Williams (406-7609).
SUMMER PICNIC
A summer picnic was discussed at the May meeting. It was
decided to hold it at the end of September. The Club will
pick up $6 of the cost. It will probably be held at Mulberry
Grove Rec Center. The cost will be $5 for members and
spouses and $11 for non members. The menu will include
Italian Sausage, BBQ Chicken and Michelob. Final
details will be included in the September newsletter - stay
tuned.

This is a
reminder that there will be no meetings and no newsletters
during the months of July and August.
The next meeting after the June meeting will be
September 2. May you all have a safe and enjoyable summer –
see you in the fall.
FOOD PANTRY
DONATIONS
At our
November 2007 meeting it was voted to support the Christian
Food Pantry in
Lady
Lake
or other needy Food Pantries by bringing canned or dried
food products to each of our meetings so we hope you will
bring what you can.

COUNTY
SHERIFF FARMER’S GOLF CHARITY FOR YOUTH
The
10th Annual Sumter County Sheriff “Bill” Farmer’s
Golf Charity for Youth is scheduled for
Saturday, June 7th,
2008.
It will be held at Tierra Del Sol Golf & Country Club
in The Villages.
The cost is $55.00 for golf and dinner or golf only
for $45.00. Registration forms will be available at our
meeting or at Sumter County Sheriff’s Annex on 466.
You must register at Tierra Del Sol Golf and Country
Club. Make
checks payable to Tierra Del Sol.
Complete information is available on the Club’s web
site under “Events”.
Also the Sheriff is looking for volunteers to assist
on the day of the event.

LAKE
COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
HR 218 QUALIFYING
Lake
County Sheriff’s Department has scheduled an HR 218
qualifying session on Saturday, June 21.
