NEXT MEETING

The next meeting is Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 PM at LaHacienda Rec Center.  Donuts, coffee and tea will be furnished.

 

ELECTION

First nominations for the offices of President and Treasurer at the April meeting were Mark Hayes, Cudahy WI PD Retired, for President and Lyn Lobdell, NYSP Retired, for Treasurer. Final nominations and elections will be held at the May meeting with the winners serving two year terms. Due to our bylaws changes Joe Singleton, Syracuse NY FD Retired, was appointed as Secretary for a one year term.

FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

 

At our November 2007 meeting it was voted to support the Christian Food Pantry in Lady Lake or other needy Food Pantries by bringing canned or dried food products to each of our meetings so we hope you will bring what you can.
 

SICK BAY

SUMTER COUNTY CHARITY GOLF

 

Sheriff “Bill” Farmer’s 12th Annual Golf Charity for Youth will be held on Saturday, June 5th at Tierra  Del Sol Golf  and Country Club in The Villages.  The flyer is available on our website on the events page and it is also available at The Sheriff’s Annex on 466. There will also be copies available at our meeting.  Registration is at Tierra Del Sol Golf & Country Club.  Golf and Dinner is $65 per person.

 

 

LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

HR 218 QUALIFYING 

Lake County Sheriff’s Department has scheduled an HR 218 qualifying session on Saturday, May 22. It is open to local law enforcement retirees, however non Lake County residents must wait until after May 5 to apply.  If you are interested contact Phyllis Nowlen by calling 352-343-3791 or e-mail at Phyllis.Nowlen@lcso.org I will have some flyers at our May meeting.
