NEXT MEETING

 
The next meeting is Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 7:00 PM at LaHacienda Rec Center. We welcome all back after the summer recess. The speaker for the evening will be Major Dennis Yence of the Ocala Police Department. Coffee and tea will also be provided.

SICK BAY

 If any member becomes aware of a sick member or spouse whom we should respond to, let Helen Cusack or Mark Hayes know.  Contact Helen at 753-1873 or at Dove11@comcast.net

SEPTEMBER PICNIC

 
There will be a club picnic on Sunday, September 25 at 12 noon at Mulberry Grove. It will be indoors and the menu will be sausage and BBQ Chicken etc with a keg of beer.  The food will be served at 1 PM and be available for approximately one hour.  The cost is $8 per person for members and spouses and $14 per person for guests.  Tickets can be purchased at the September meeting or you can send a check (made out to "Police and Fire Retirees Club") to Mike Varga, 17480 SE 75th Coachman Ct, The Villages FL 32162.  The deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, September 16.

FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

At our November 2007 meeting it was voted to support the Christian Food Pantry in Lady Lake or other needy Food Pantries by bringing canned or dried food products to each of our meetings so we hope you will bring what you can.

CLUB ITEMS

The club flags will be available at the meeting for $20 each.  There are a number of name tags ($5 ones) that were ordered and will be at the meeting. We will not be taking orders for any more until November.

SHIRTS

Both members and spouses shirts can be ordered at 3 Amigos Pro Shop next to McCall’s Restaurant.  There are Club Jackets available through Audrey Williams (406-7609).
